Hi:
I am not a real Lao-Wai. Even though I lived and worked in China for 5 years. You see, I don't qualify to be a real Lao-Wai because I'm a Chinese from Singapore and nobody call me a Lao-Wai in China:-)
But like many of you, I had my 'cultural shocks' when I first landed in China. Singapore was more like Melbourne than ever China.
I had many friends and associates who kept asking questions about China. And stumbling in China. And making mistakes.
I guess many more cities are opening up in China. Posting are no longer always to Beijing or Shanghai BUT everywhere else. And with tough times, the expat perks are slowly diminishing.
